Blue Wolf Group Selects M5 ’s Sales Engine to Monitor its Telesales Performance
With over 175 employees and satellite offices in San Francisco and Boston, Blue Wolf is one of New York’s fastest growing systems integration firms. The company specializes in providing application development expertise to companies in areas of data warehousing, Internet development, and remote database administration. Blue Wolf started out in 1999 with only a handful of employees in a small New York office. With internal resources for the company stretched to their limits, running and maintaining an in-house phone system quickly became an unwelcome burden. In order to focus more time on managing and growing the company in its early stages, Blue Wolf’s co-owner, Michael Kirven, decided to streamline internal processes by replacing their existing phone system. Initially, Kirven and his partner looked into replacing their existing phone system with a more expensive onsite PBX but realized they would encounter the same problems in allocating resources to manage the system.
Blue Wolf sought help from M5 Networks on the advice of their corporate attorney who also worked with M5 and was familiar with Voice as a Service. Kirven appreciated that M5 required no maintenance on his part. He also saw how M5’s fixed monthly pricing could help in making monthly budget projections and how its advanced capabilities, like customizable auto-attendants and ondemand call forwarding, could further improve efficiency for the organization. After considering M5’s flexibility to handle the company’s current needs and easily accommodate any future growth, Kirven and his partner decided to move forward with implementation.
In less than five years, Blue Wolf experienced two office moves and a ten-fold increase in the number of users on M5’s service. Even though the two moves and expansions were an ordeal for the organization, the phone system aspect was relatively painless because M5 worked with Blue Wolf and managed the entire transition. Blue Wolf also uses the data and statistics provided by M5’s Sales Engine to effectively monitor, incent, and motivate its inbound/outbound telesales organization.
